We are going to be parents! And very soon!
There have been seven years of prayers, but many changes this year to help us see things much differently than when we first begun. On Thursday, I prayed with much abandon to my will and desires asking God to change our life. Just hours later on Thursday night, the adoption agency we have been working with us asked if they could submit us for a case that had just came up. On Sunday afternoon, they told us we had been chosen as one of the three families for the ‘team’ to look at. On Monday, we were told that the team of CPS, attorneys, social workers, etc all chose us. And on Tuesday night, we were told the Judge chose us.
The children are in a foster home right now and we will meet them on Saturday and begin about 3-4 weeks of visits and get to know yous and should be bringing them home around Thanksgiving! While they move in with us soon and we will be their foster-to-adopt parents, the process to adopt officially can take up to a year. We are very excited and prepared for the open door of government workers in our home. Kind of.

Join us in rejoicing and in prayer that God’s hands would be over this entire situation, our meeting this weekend, preparing our home for them, preparing their little hearts for this big change, preparing us for these changes, how to figure out what size diapers 2 year olds wear and all the other amazing stuff we’ll no doubt be asking for prayers for over the next several days.
