Sometimes I let my mama dress me: GNO Red Maxi Dress

Sometimes, I step away from the black and grey, boring stud earrings, ponytail, no makeup and I add a little color. With some help. Sometimes I let my mom or my dear husband dress me. Mom does not feel well most days, but enjoys still being able to help. She was always so good at putting outfits together in high school. I am glad we can bond over dress up time every now and then. What’s even better. Mom is a master at putting together chic gorgeous outfits on the cheap. I am pretty lucky that both mom and the DH are so good at picking stuff out. I am always amazed at what they put together.

Last night was a chance to celebrate Houston Restaurant Week with my girlfriends. The Clear Lake Girls Cooking Club put away our mitts and dressed up for a night out to enjoy fancy food. We went to Cullen’s grill in Clear Lake, Texas. Here is what I wore.

Red loose fitting Maxi dress. You’ll never believe where it is from. Mama said not to tell. I am going to do it anyway. It came from this store.

Black and tan espadrilles from Marshall’s.

Jewelry from mom’s stash. When she feels well, she sells on ebay under seller ID: hnpsfav. Her stuff is so cool and cheap! You can also get to her stuff from her blog. For this outfit, she chose a unique red and silver coin necklace, hammered bangle and ring set and medium size silver earrings.

Really cool old floral clutch from a local thrift store.

I think it came together pretty well.
